How long have you been writing?

I've been writing most of my life. (64 years) This is the first thing I've followed through and published.

What is your most recent literary/artistic project?

That would be this series (Mother).

What inspires you to write?

I woke up on July 5th and knew I had to write Mother. I finished book two on August 30th. I want people to understand they need to stop destroying the planet. The books can teach them a more earth friendly way to live or how to survive. Some of the people in the books are based on people I know. Most are not. I sit at the keyboard and hear the words in my head faster than I can type. I'm not sure I am the only author of this project. It came so fast and I do talk to dead people. I think several of them had a hand in this project. I think of myself as Mother's typist.

Who’s your favorite author and why?

King of course. He touches your mind, emotions and soul then pulls you into the world on the pages. You may not like where the story takes you but you're hooked and go anyway. Years later his characters seem more like people you once knew than flat people you read about in a book.

What advice can you give to other authors or writers?

Something drove you to write. Follow that urge where ever it takes you. Don't worry about form in the first draft. I have heard chunks of a chapter while doing mundane tasks. I write them down even if they don't fit where I am in the story. I find they fit down the pages. Don't be so sure you know where it's going. I've been shocked quite a few times at the turn of events in this project.
